A man, 21, is charged with arson after a Dungannon house fire. He’s due in court. Four people were rescued by police.

A man faces charges for a house fire. He will appear in court soon. PSNI officers rescued four people.

The PSNI gave a short update. They arrested a 21-year-old man after a fire in Dungannon on February 3rd. He is charged with arson and meant to endanger lives. His court date is February 6th.

The Public Prosecution Service will review the charges. A 15-year-old male was also arrested, suspected of arson. He is out on bail now while police need to investigate more.

Deputy Chief Constable Bobby Singleton praised the officers, who bravely saved lives during the fire on Monday night. They rescued two kids and two adults.

Police arrived first and got ladders from neighbors. They saved a 70-year-old woman, who was unresponsive, and a young child. Officers then entered the burning house and saved another child. A 37-year-old man also made it out safely.

Eight officers from the Dungannon team went to the hospital. One collapsed rescuing a child.
