A Message from Helen Woodhams
A message from Helen Woodhams:
I always love coming back for the final half term of the academic year. It’s always super busy, as we begin to reflect on the progress of the children across the year and provide the opportunities for the children to shine and show their achievements.
On Wednesday, our Year 6s visited Wells Cathedral for their ‘pilgrimage day’, joining other children from all around the Diocese, including our partner school, Hatch Beauchamp. I was pleased to hear from the children how much they had enjoyed their day and from Miss Cridland about the exceptional behaviour of the children and their engagement in the various activities throughout the day.
As part of the assessment process, we also welcomed moderators into the school this week who, with Miss Luesley and Mrs Rundle, were looking at the work going on in Reception. It was lovely to receive all the positive comments not only about the work the children have done, but also about how all the teachers know our children.
Meanwhile it’s full steam ahead with Sports day practise and singing and acting for this year’s performance. I hope you’ve put the dates in your diaries and look forward to seeing as many as possible of you there.
