Wellbeing

At Buckland St. Mary C of E Primary School, we aim to promote and safeguard the positive mental health and well-being for our whole school community (children, staff, parents and carers), and recognise how important mental health and emotional wellbeing is to our lives in just the same way as physical health. There is a substantial body of research evidence to suggest that the mental health of children, staff, and the wider school community impacts on all areas of learning, achievement and wider life experiences.  We therefore believe in the importance of creating an environment which supports positive mental health, and where all children and adults feel safe and secure. Our Christian Vision, 'That they may have life, life in all its fullness' , underpins everything we do and is at the heart of supporting everyone's wellbeing and mental health.

On this page, you will find some links to useful websites that can help support mental health and wellbeing. We  will also be sharing a selection of videos, work and pictures that the children have produced.

If you have any concerns or want to discuss anything with the school, please contact our SEMH Lead, Mr G Nation.

Please read our SEMH policy for more information (see link).
