Kintore: This morning, a van caught fire on the A96 during rush hour. It happened around 7:50 AM, and the road had to be closed. Firefighters quickly arrived to tackle the blaze.
No injuries were reported, which is a relief. However, the road remains shut in both directions. Drivers are being asked to find alternative routes. Traffic is being diverted through Kintore, causing some major delays.
A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said they were alerted at 7:49 AM. They sent two fire engines and other resources to handle the situation.
