Glasgow: A young man, just 24 years old, tragically passed away during a half marathon. This happened on Sunday in Scotland.

His name was Aaron Johnston, and he was from Enniskillen in Co Fermanagh. He was participating in the Half Marathon Winter Warmer Run when he fell ill.

The incident took place around 11:15 AM at Glasgow Green. Emergency services arrived quickly to help.

Sadly, Aaron was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but died shortly after. Authorities say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

His family business, Ashwood Garden Centre, shared a heartfelt tribute on social media. They expressed their heartbreak over losing Aaron.

They announced that the garden center and coffee shop would be closed until further notice.

Police Scotland confirmed that emergency services responded to the report of a man unwell at the event. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
