Three shops in Mid Ulster were robbed at gunpoint early Thursday, leaving staff shaken. Police are investigating the incidents in Clonoe, Coagh, and Ballinderry.
Mid Ulster: Police are looking into three armed robberies at local shops. These happened early Thursday morning.
The shops in Clonoe, Coagh, and Ballinderry were hit at gunpoint. Staff members were left very shaken by the events.
The PSNI has been contacted for more information. Local MLA Linda Dillion visited the scene to check on the staff.
She mentioned that while the staff were shaken, thankfully, no one was hurt. She called the situation shocking for the community.
Independent Councillor Dan Kerr expressed his anger on social media. He referred to the robbers as ‘parasites’ and showed support for the staff at Lynch’s SPAR Clonoe.
Kerr praised the shop for its contributions to local charities and the community during tough times. He hopes the staff are okay after this ordeal.
