Aberdeen: Local traders and charities are invited to join a lively outdoor market. This market will be part of the Tall Ships Races later this year.

The market, called Curated on the Quayside, runs from July 19 to July 22. It will transform the Port of Aberdeen into a busy hub of activity.

With 60 stalls along Regent Quay, Upper Dock, and Blaikies Quay, the market coincides with the Tall Ships event. This event is expected to attract around 60 ships and 400,000 visitors.

Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeen Inspired are organizing the market. They are working with the local charity Charlie House to raise funds and showcase local talent.

The market stalls will surround impressive vessels, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Councillor Martin Greig called the market a fabulous addition to the festival.

He noted that it’s a great opportunity for businesses and charities to raise their profiles during this major event. Adrian Watson from Aberdeen Inspired added that the market will bring excitement to the Tall Ships celebrations.

Applications for traders and charities are open until March 28 at 5 PM. Priority will go to local businesses that reflect Aberdeen’s maritime heritage.

Traders will be present for all four days, while charities will rotate daily to ensure variety. Charlie House CEO John Brebner expressed excitement about supporting this vibrant market.
