Roldanillo: A woman from Dublin has died in a skydiving accident. Paulina Biskup, 38, was enjoying a trip of a lifetime in Colombia. She was a Polish national living in Dublin and had studied at Trinity College.

On Tuesday, she jumped from the Aguapanela paragliding site. Just minutes after takeoff, things went wrong. Witnesses say her parachute collapsed, and she fell to the ground.

People nearby were horrified as they watched her slip from her harness. Sadly, she didn’t survive the fall. Rescue teams arrived quickly but couldn’t revive her.

Paulina was there with her partner and friends, but they weren’t part of the paragliding event happening that day. Roldanillo is famous for paragliding, known as Colombia’s “paragliding capital.”

Authorities are now investigating the accident. It’s a tragic reminder of how quickly things can change during such thrilling activities.
