A drug gang led by two brothers shipped over 70kg of cocaine, resulting in lengthy jail sentences for eight people.
Two brothers, Warren and Kelroy Allison, led the gang. They ran it for four and a half years. They supplied about £7 million worth of cocaine. Their operation spanned the entire region.
Richard Cowell was their trusted driver. The brothers gave him a special vehicle that had a hidden compartment for drugs and cash. He moved drugs and money across the South West.
Cowell used an EncroChat phone; his handle was SouthKangaroo. He also moved cash and drugs for other groups during his trial, which he admitted to.
Porcia Densley was the gang’s finance manager. She was in a relationship with Warren Allison, and her role helped him run the drug business. She managed a lot of money.
She delivered and collected cash for Warren. She also managed the money from their drug sales. Police watched Warren Allison deal cocaine.
In 2020, Warren dealt 4kg of cocaine in Bristol, which Ledian Hoxha and Pjeter Pisha supplied. Warren arranged for it to go to his cousin, Anthony Burke. The cocaine was worth £320,000 – £400,000.
Police saw the delivery to Burke. They entered the place and arrested him, finding the cocaine in a bag. Enid Aliko gave them an encrypted phone.
He helped with drugs after the arrests and connected the Albanian group to suppliers. Hoxha and Pisha fled the UK after the drugs were seized, trying to avoid arrest.
Police caught them by using tactics such as surveillance. They uncovered the scale of the crimes and found others involved with the Allison brothers.
Investigators looked at thousands of documents. They reviewed phone records and data, which connected the brothers to the cocaine operation worth millions of pounds.
The National Crime Agency helped access encrypted devices. These devices showed panic after EncroChat shut down. Police found evidence at Kelroy Allison’s home too; his phones had drug ledgers going back to 2016.
The brothers claimed they sold clothes, not cocaine. Cowell agreed with the brothers and said the same thing, stating the delivery to Burke was clothing.
The court found the Allison brothers, Cowell, Burke, and Densley guilty. Aliko, Pisha, and Hoxha had already pleaded guilty. All eight were sentenced on Thursday, February 6.
Warren Allison got 23 years, and Kelroy Allison got 16.5 years. Richard Cowell got 9 years, and Porcia Densley got 8 years. Anthony Burke also got 8 years. Ledian Hoxha got 7 years and 4 months, while Pjeter Pisha got 6 years and 8 months. Enid Aliko got 4 years.
An officer said they broke up a big cocaine operation that spanned the South West and beyond. The brothers contributed to crime and violence. Warren Allison bought expensive cars; he used the money he made illegally.
A Lamborghini and Mercedes were among the cars. Police urge people to report suspicious activity, including displays of wealth, as any information can be very vital.
