Someone stole a handbag in Belfast city center early Tuesday, February 4th. Two men in dark clothes were involved.

A man and woman were walking on Royal Avenue near the corner of William Street when the two men approached. They grabbed the woman’s handbag and then ran toward Donegall Street.

The thieves are described as being in their thirties, wearing dark, hooded clothing. Police are asking for information regarding the theft. Did you see the theft or men running? If so, contact the police.

The theft occurred around 2:00 AM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, as a man and woman were walking. Police are looking for witnesses to the incident when two men came near them.

The thieves, described as about 5’10” tall, stole the woman’s handbag. One man carried a white plastic bag, and both wore dark, baggy hoodies. They ran toward Donegall Street after the theft.
