Aberdeen: The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Storm Éowyn is on its way, and it’s bringing some serious winds.

They’re predicting gusts up to 90mph! That’s not just a breeze; it could be dangerous. Flying debris, power cuts, and building damage are all possible. Travel will be a mess too.

Roads, trains, and even ferries might be affected. LNER has already said no trains will run in the northeast during the storm. So, if you had plans, you might want to rethink them.

The warning kicks in at 1pm on Friday and lasts until 6am Saturday. It’s going to be a wild night!

Scotland is bracing for this storm, with multiple warnings out. Some areas even have a rare red warning, expecting winds of 100mph.

The Met Office says Storm Éowyn will sweep across the northwest of the UK. It’ll clear out by Saturday morning, but not before causing some chaos.

Winds will start strong, with 60-70 mph inland and even higher along the coast. They should ease up by Saturday morning, but it’s going to be a rough ride until then.
