A Message from Steve Morton

I challenge anyone who says that community spirit is diminishing in modern society to come and visit Buckland St Mary. You are all truly amazing people and you demonstrate the strength passion of a community. Because of all of you, we are well underway with our nature area and it will soon be open to our children to access during the school day and for the local community in the evenings and weekends. We have one last delivery of timber arriving this week for our decking over the pond and fences. If you are skilled with carpentry, own a drill or you are just enthusiastic. Then please join us this Saturday for an hour or 2 from 9 am to put the finishing touches to phase one of the project. Thank you to all of you who were able to join us for our Easter service in Buckland St Mary Church. I’m sure you will agree that the children, once again, demonstrated their high level of skill in public speaking and singing. A big thank you also to the ‘Open the Book Team’ for sharing one of their church assemblies with us all. The team share a story with us every Tuesday at 1:15pm and would be happy for you to join us. We would like to say thank you to Mrs Jane Freestone, who will be retiring on Friday from her role as Chief Operations Officer, for all of her hard work and commitment to our schools. We wish her all the best and look forward to welcoming her back to our school to share in all of our celebrations. Congratulations to Mr Andy Middehurst who will be moving to a new job after the Easter break. Thank you for all of your hard work and we wish you all the best in your new job. Dates for your Diary: ?
